One of the most impressive sets of waterfalls in the tropical Southeast Asian region — and in the entire world — is the Kuan Si Waterfalls (Kouangxi) near Luang Prabang in the Country of Laos. A three-tiered set of falls, the cascades include high falls, shallow pools and ledge falls set in an aquatic playground in the middle of the Laos jungle.
The falls are located just 18 miles south of Luang Prabang, and is the region’s top destination for travelers passing through the area.While the falls themselves are located in deep jungle — seemingly in the middle of the wild — Luang Prabang is a relatively modern city with all of the conveniences you could ask for, and is close enough to make traveling to the falls a small day-trip.
